Hans v Erck Hans is 22 years of age and into triathlon now for 6 years. Before that he was a goal-keeper in a professional soccer team. Hans lives in Zundert Holland, the small town were every year and ITU race is. He lives right along the bike course, so he just wondered if he could do this too.
Hans has won numerous races in triathlon and Duathlon over the past years. He was Dutch junior champion Duathlon 1998, participated in the European and World Championship races Duathlon that same year.
This (2001) year he did 4 major Duathlon races in Holland, won 3 of them and one 3th place.
Hans is private fitness instructor and works part time so he can spend more time training and racing. His goal is to become a professional triathlete.

In my first year of triathlon I saw Frank in a local race (in Holland) with his team. I was impressed by the professionalism they had. And even more impressed by the results that day. After the race we got to talk about triathlon, training and racing. I asked him if he was interested in helping me with my training, that's how we got together. Well as I was impressed at first of the results and the professionalism I even got more impressed by the way he handled things in Coaching. He sees triathlon as one sport, not three different ones, and always seems to get the most out of you. When I'm down he pulls me up again and when I am in the zone he holds me back.
I did tri another coach for a year but that was the worst mistake I made in my entire triathlon career. I am so glad Frank is my Coach and close Friend; I know if we stay and work together I can make it to the top.
